G.A.L. (Local Action Group) LEONTINOI, is an associated company with limited liability, born in 1998. It started as an initiative of the Regional Province of Siracusa and thanks to the participation of the Towns of Lentini, Carlentini e Francofonte, some business and professional associations, a few private subjects.

The Local Action Group has a peculiar attitude towards local negotiation and local decision making. "Horizontal partnership" is the key word in developement programming and local changing and is a conditio sine qua non to correspond to the framework of objectives agreed at European level and receive financial support from EU through Leader II.

In order to apply to the Community Initiative Programme, GAL has designed a Local Action Plan "Leontinoi" containing all operative tasks.
